I have a camaro here that has no motor but the car is setup for TBI . I just got a carb 400 with everything. I looked on google an here all I found was how to make a TBI motor carb.

What I want to do is make the car run carb. What would I need to do?. I would like to use the in tank fule pump.

I don't know if you need to know this but it will have a 700r4 trans and a 3200 stall

 

You will need to install the $100 mallory adjustable fuel pressure reg. on the fuel supply line. Turn pressure down to 5 psi, and install the low oil pressure shut off switch/sender into your block.

You can run your 700r4 with out lock up function or you can buy the $50-75 "kit" to make the trans lockup in high gear, or read up on here and mod the lockup yourself.

You will also need a TV cable adapter/bracket for which ever carb you.

 

Just keep it TBI and set it up with EBL flash.
TBI is Ez to tune and you can really dial in the fuel ratios with no guess work.

People who ditch the TBI to carb is foolish in my mind. YOu still have to tune a carb and with out a O2 sensor its all guess work with Spark plug inspections.

 

I would like to keep it TBI but this 400 has a big *** cam an I don't know how to program computers on cars.
If I dropped all the extra TBI stuff I have on it the computer an map will go crazy
