I have a 305 TBI. I have to put my foot slightly on the gas when I start it. and when I come to a stop, I have to keep my foot slightly on the gas. And it really doesn't have as much power as it should when the motor is warmed up. But when I first start it, it has plenty of power. Also, when driving, I can smell gas. I was thinking maybe fuel filter. Any help is appreciated...

 

Check the plugs to make sure it's not running too rich. Could be the fuel pressure regulator went bad.

 

When was the last time it got a tune-up?

What are you seeing on the data stream with a scan tool?

 

Look at the spray pattern from the injectors. There should be no drips, it should have an even conical spray pattern.
