305 TBI: correct idle speed?
I have a 1991 Camaro 305 TBI. It seems like the idle is kind of low to me. When it's in park and warmed up its at about 750 which seems good to me,but when it's in drive and I'm stopped at light or something th idle is 500-525 tops without cooling fan,A/C,radio,or headlights on. The car sputters a little bit while I'm stopped, and if the cooling fan or A/C clutch kicks on the car nearly stalls, and sometimes it has.

Sounds correct. In P/N there is no set idle RPM, just an upper and lower limit.
In drive the desired idle RPM is set at 525, with a +-25 RPM dead-band (AXKT).
As for the RPM dip when the A/C kicks in, it could be a sticky IAC. The A/C on has an IAC bump to help prevent this. I don't believe that the cooling fan does as it isn't controlled or monitored by the ECM.
