454 swap..WONT IDLE

454 swap..WONT IDLE

Done all kinds of engine swaps but this swap is the worst..94-95 modle 454 tbi,,high pressure fuel system OEM 27-32PSI..THE ENGINE FIRST FIRED UP AFTER SWAP INSTALL AND IDLED SET BASE TIMING TO 4 DEGREES,, ran rich as hell ..replaced cts and map sensor,, ran better but still rich,,knock sensor was replaced bc of the old one was broken during removal,,new plugs wires,Rebuild heads,iac vavle.. so during all the problem solving that i done, the engine would never take fuel if you stomped the pedal to the floor . It would just bog,2500-3000 rpm is all it turn,kinda like a factory rev limiter would,,gradually give gas slowly n it would red line if i want it to, still trying to fix that issue and doing so it has gotten to the point it wont idle any more and the stomping of the gas pedal problem still there,,i have change the distributor with one that i know works,, idle n wont take gas issue is still there no change,, anyone had these issues with a 454 swap

Is the TBI unit, the engine, the fuel pump, the ECM, and the wire harness all a matched set? Or is this a mix-n-match deal?

Matched set..came from 95 3500 dually also when the engine was still in the dually the engine had the same cant mash the pedal to the floor with out bogging out ,,i assumed it was bad gas in tha tank,, i failed to mention i have new fuel pump filter injectors and regulator,,, all for the 27-32psi system,,also during my investigation of whats wrong,,someone had swapped out the the injectors housing cage. .witch had 305 injectors n regulator ....simple question about what is underneath the injectors cage on the 305 cage there was a dowll to help locate it the base,.,the 454 locating dowl under 454 injector cage is smaller ,,atleast on the tbi base i have..witch the numbers on the base confirmed it is for the 454,,,, they just ground down the large dowl to allow the 305 cage to sit flush with the gasket between the base n cage,, is there any difference between the 305 and 454 injectors houseing,, the 454 tbi base has the bigger 2in, bores ,,hope this helps everyones ideas n thoughts
