Question about Open Air Install

do i need to cover the exhaust manifold hole where the preheater hose was, also do headers have this hole.

Nope, no need to cover it. Only a few headers have the heat riser setup. I've seen them on a few trucks but never on an f-body.

just leave it open...when you decide to get headers that hole will dissapear anyways...all that hole does it allow heat into the stock air cleaner to let the car heat up faster oh yeah and get a NON DROP cleaner with a 3'' element...youll be able to remove the spacer ring and itll clear everything fine.
