Injectors

Replaced all the gaskets on my tbi 305 5.0 v8 92 camaro, It had been sitting for 8 years and I decided to get it back into a running state I've done everything to make sure it's ready to beat brought back to life except now I've ran into a problem with the injectors such as, one injector sprays perfectly but the left one does not. I've checked for a pulse and the injector does work, I've been wanting to test the pig tail that connects to the injector but I have yet to do so. When I turn on the car gas does not go into the injector as if it does not get a signal to open, I've had a few backfires and the wires are a bit crispy, should I replace them ? What could possibly be causing this problem? I've been trying to figure it out slowy and is maybe all I need to get it back into running state.

Re: Injectors

Why do you start new threads for the same issues?

I put a salvage-yard TBI unit on my K1500. Idled like crap because one injector wasn't spraying. I swapped the injector wires, the same injector still didn't spray.

It took about five minutes of idling, while I was trying to figure out my next step...and then the injector began to fire normally and hasn't given me a bit of trouble since then. That was several years ago.

Let the bitch run for ten minutes, see what happens.

Re: Injectors

That's the thing the car doesn't stay on. I'll try to mess with it again but like I said it does not stay on and I'll mess with the injectors to see if I can figure it out. Thanks anyway

Re: Injectors

Have you tried switching the connectors to see if the same injector doesn't work. If no change you know the wiring is fine and the injector is the problem.
other way around means the opposite
