I just purchased a 85' z28 T-top car with a 5 speed and 305. It is a TBI and has a strange air cleaner box on top. The box has a wire going into it, I believe it is a sensor, though I have no idea to what. The box is the weird thing though. I can not find anyone with a similar setup. The box simply states "V8" and "Fuel Injection" on the front, with the unknown sensor pluging into the passenger side and a inlet port on the drivers side. It opens via two latches on the top and is held on by two nuts.

If anyone has a clue as to what the sensor is, or what the box is off of, please let me know. Thanks!
It is TBI and I know it wasn't factory, according to the VIN decoder, my car was originally a 4 bbl carb'd car. Why someone would change it is beyond me... but I'm going to fix it with the throttle body for now, if I'm not happy with it, I'll throw on a spare intake and carb and fix it up. Also thanks for info on the sensor and box, wanted to make sure it wasn't anything special before throwing the box to the side.
