Adjustable FPR, how much should i increase

I failed smog at idel so i decided to make my stock FPR adjustable because my car was running too rich, when i go get retested im just going to turn the pressure all the way down. About how many PSI is this
After my smog test, how much should i increase the pressure (number of turns of the screw), in order to get it alittle above stock. or should i just go quarter turns at a time and run driving tests, but im afraid that i might increase it too high, how u can help
THANKS

Tune for performance would be adjusting the fuel pressure one way or the other to get the fastest mph in the 1/4 mile. If you are running way rich at idle it's because your car has mods, it's a speed density system (no way to measure air intake), and you have a stock eprom with stock fuel and timing tables.
Want to pass the sniff test AND go fast all the time. Want to disable EGR, tweak highway mode, adjust anything and everything that the ecm controls including timing, fuel tables, enrichment modes, accel/pump shot, torque converter lock/unlock, etc. get into eprom burning. If anything, TBI is the easiest to learn. The only down side is that TPI has a slightly faster data stream if you use a scan tool to speed up the tuning process.
Nobody can tell you how many turns it takes on your afpr. They're all different even from the factory. For this reason the adjustable afpr should be on the TOP of everybody's to do list. It's like tuning a carb without adjusting the jets and anything but the idle mixture!!!!!
