Anyone able to get their Crossfire to chirp from 1st to 2nd, and 3rd?
Hi All,
The crossfire has small intake ports, supposedly designed to increase torque on the bottom end -- where the motor spends most of its life. 33% smaller, when measuring.
I decided to remove the manifold, polish it and reseal it, and put it back on. I know many people port it out, but I didn't want to do that.
I am now able to get a nice chirp from 1st to 2nd gear, and sometimes 2nd to 3rd if I have it wide open. Very nice, it has never done this before, I am guessing I fixed some vacuum leaks when I re-installed the intake.
Anyone else experience this with their '82?
