i removed all my AC components and bypassed the smog pump by running the belt over the idler and down...i bypassed the smog pump and i was wondering what can i do to rid of the whole braket the AC and smog pump are on? its an eyesore...i need some kind of pulley there so i can run my belt the right way but since i have serpentine belts i also need something to adjust the tension...any ideas?

 

i tried to solve this problem with my car when i did my motor swap.

i looked and looked, but didnt find anything.

i just got an a/c delete pulley, and a smog pump pulley. that way, the stock look is preserved, which was the goal in the first place. ended up working out great, but that bracket is still there.

well that only shows the a/c delete pulley. i thought that i had a better on on my home page, but i couldnt find it.

i also got new brackets at the same time, whcih improved the appearance of the engine a LOT. the old ones were dirty looking and just didnt look right when everythig else was new.

how much did those deleter pulleys cost and do you have parts numbers for everything? how much was the new bracket?

 

I have that same problem, getting rid of the AC and Smog but cant figure out how to eliminate that entire bracket? Any ideas?
