The 305 has finally lost compression on a cylinder. I really like this Blueprint engine as a replacement:

Check out this page from Summit Racing https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mll-bp3503ct1

and an updated TBI such as this:

I want to continue using TBI. I plan to update the TBI and get the chip tuned. What would be the best intake to use for that? I see GM performance has one bu they are pretty expensive.

Intake:

Edelbrock Victor Jr 2 barrel for Vortec heads part number 2912. Looks like it might be discontinued now... darn...

Spacer:

I have these parts, and was literally just working on the intake today. The intake opening is 46mm x 92mm wide at the widest points, and that spacer fits the 2 barrel opening perfectly. Keep in mind that you will need to adapt some of the accessory reinforcement brackets since the manifold bolts on differently, also throttle bracket. The thermostat hole is also closer to the front of the engine. I'm almost ready to put that intake on my engine, I still have to figure out what I'm going to do about mounting that stuff.

Not using a TBI, it isn't. And I'd about guarantee that they're not using the OEM dyno protocol, either.

Will not work with factory fuel injection. Engine has no cam sensor provisions.
Morons. The distributor is the cam sensor. What they meant is "no CRANK sensor provision", but you don't need that.

Cheapest Communist Chinese crank available.

HOW do they handle warranty work if something goes wrong? Who pays to pull the engine, and then ship the engine back to Blueprint if it fails? Who pays the shop labor to fix stuff locally? Do they pay for fluids--coolant, oil, filter? Do they pay the full shop rate, or do they pay less per hour than the shop charges? Are you allowed to fix it yourself?

$500 for a reman TBI is crazy.
