1989 7747 tuning help
Iam newer to this TBI tuning. And there is a BUNCH of info on here and other threads and sites, but nI am still missing some part of my puzzle. Hopin @Fast355 along with others can bestow some wisdom upon me.
1989 K5, 7747 compter. Vortec heads, Ramjet 350 cam, carb RPM knock off intake with adapter plate for TBI. 25 psi fuel pressure at idle, 110 BPW setting, BLM numbers are ok, still tweaking them though. Been using TunerProRT. 3.08 gears(yes, I know, future swap to come), decent looking y pipe, (not the Walker junk), no cat, factory muffler for now.
My two main questions are: Will my low end benifit from a larger throtle body? (454 one, with my current injector pod, or a ported 350 one). And I just seem to be missing some low end grunt off the line. This build was more for reilabity, and not necessarly tire smoking, but I feel I should be able to break the tires loose at a stop light, should I choose. (factory tire size). And it won't. If I am in the grass or dirt, it does pretty dang good. Motor runs up pretty well. Oh, and it is a factory stall convertor, 700R4 trans.
I'm sure it is some value I haven't tweaked quite right in the tune. But after 220+ chip burns, a little direction would be nice.
Thank you for your time gents.
