no catalytic

what s up everybody

here's my question,

I have a 91 bird 305 tbi on which I removed out the catalytic converter, it still has the A.I.R. stuff on it and I want to know what result this creates. I need to get rid of the AIR system right? And in doing this how much do u all think I should pay someone to do it? I dont wanna get ripped off.

Ill appreciate your answers

thank you

don't gut the cat. and the reason you ain't getting to many replies is because taking off the cat is illegal but I did it anyways. I would just cut it off the put in a piece of pipe. I got alot more torque.

ya don't just gut a cat. Either put in a new cat, put a pipe in its place, or put a straight pipe though your cat so it looks like you still have one.

Chances are that you won't find a shop that will remove ANY of your emissions equipment. They face a stiff fine for doing that, since it's a federal offense.

You can remove the smog pump and all the air stuff in about 20 min. I would type all this out again, but I've covered it several times ... email me if you have any questions, do a search, or check out "smog pump delete" in the tech articles.

I gutted my cavalier's cat, no pipe through it. I was planning on putting pipe through it but just never did. It sounds crappy but it pulls a lot harder at higher rpm's now
