I'm having trouble figuring this out. I was looking to download this program, but how do you guys retrieve the info from it? I have 2 computers and want to use one to run this program one has xp and the other has win98. which program is better to run winaldl? and how do i get the information from it. i'm not car stupid and have no problems when it comes to efi, but this winaldl is a little confusing to me. any help you guys could give would greatly appreciated.

Not sure what you mean. Use the UI interactively to see what's happening as it happens. Turn on logging to get a text file saved in the same directory with WinALDL. Each logging session is saved to a separate file, you can then open it for review later. I've found that opening it in Excel is the best way to view the data. My problem was figuring out what the data meant. I finally found a book on GM EFI that explained it to me and I've been "cookin' with gas" ever since.

Sorry, I kept getting errors from the server so I reposted. When it finally didn't show the error page, there were two answers.

I couldn't remember the exact name so I went and got the book. It's called "How to tune and modify Chevrolet Fuel Injection" by Ben Watson. I've never fooled with EFI before and this book was a HUGE help combined with WinALDL. Also, any spreadsheet type program should work fine. I just happen to use MS Excel. All you do is "import" the "delimited" text file, follow the "wizard" thing that comes up to help it figure out how to "delimit" the file, and presto. Everything is in nice columns for your viewing. Generally the columns will be too narrow but you can also select all the columns and have it "auto size" them so that you can read everything.
