how much better does stock carb manifold flow than tbi mani?

how much better does stock carb manifold flow than tbi mani?

a guy is selling what he says is a factory alum carb intake

did they have alum intakes on these cars from the factory?

he says they could come on the early 80's thirdgens

anyways ...wondring how much better these would flow
than the factory tbi manifold

what holley adpater would i need to make this work??

would i be able to put a bored out tbi on it????

Really it isnt worth the trouble, but to answer your questions:

1. Well I havent seen an aluminum intake factory on a thirdgen; not saying they dont exist. The L82 Vettes came with them; thats where the one I have is from

2. It wont flow a huge amount more than the stock TBI manifold; hence its not worth the trouble.

3. If you were to use it you would have to grind off the quadrajet gate kinda dealy and then yes you could use the Holley adapter and put a bored out TBI on it.
