Anybody using Edelbrock 1207 open element?
Everytime I walk into Auto Zone, I see it, and want it!!!! I just need to know if it will clear the TBI linkage and cruise without any spacers, and If I would need to go down to say a 14"x2". Any body suggest anything better? Thanks!!!

i dont think it will fit... 3 5/16 is a bit high. when i was looking for my open element (k&n w/ xtreme lid) i only got 2.5" high and barely was able to close the head. a 10" will fit with no problem.

if u go with a 3", can u use a tbi spacer on it? i got a 1.5" tbi spacer and the stud for the tbi is like hitting my hood...i mean going through the insulation or whatever. if it'll work, im gonna get one of those too.

I have the Edelbrock 1207. It's a dropbase so you'll have to use the tbi spacer ring still but, everything clears fine. Also, you'll have to loosen and pivot back the coil bracket so the small coil wires won't rub on the edge of the air cleaner base. You'll see what I mean when you install it.
