Power Pulleys ADVANTAGES?

Anyone ran or run power pulleys, I get how they work as far as underdrive. Just wondering if anyone has actually seen a difference or a gain? Grumpy where are you when I need you?

Well if you put an underdrive pulley on your alternator, you'll see less charging power. I dont think that underdrive pullies are a real big deal. Ask the fast guys on this forum if they are running them. I dont think most of them are.

You know, those pullies will help you accelerate at least as fast as that goofy Tornado device. :lala:

Yeah no kidding. It's all about catchy marketing and promises that arent true to get people to buy products. Apparently power pullies are dyno proven 15hp.

15 hp? I'd like to see the dyno test. I have the 3 piece pulley kit. Not any noticeable gain. The lights dim a bit at idle. But I've never had a charging or cooling problem. I am using a Stewart Components Stage II water pump though. My best power adders to date have been the headers (roughly .5 second improvment in e/t) and swapping in a LT1 cam for the peanut cam (roughly another .5 seconds). Lon

i have the 3 peice too. Only difference i notced was my engine looks nicer. Other than that ..... it was a waste. Prevost explained his views on how the larger pulleys give you more momentium which is a good point.
