Ah, it used to be so nice when you could just grea$e somebody's palm to pass smog.Really tough to find anybody willing to do that anymore.
It's always a great relief to know that you've got another two years before big brother wants to look up your tailpipe with a magnifying glass.
Congratulations.

I thought I'd be doing smog this month but they sent me my registration sticker so it looks like I have to do it next year.

Here in Oklahoma City, they used to be quite strict, but they recently passed a law where we don't have state inspections anymore.(whew). They still can fine the sh** out of you though if they do a roadside inspection when you get pulled over and they find out you have no cats.(rarely happens though) Anyway congratulations!

Awesome news! Did you have to pass a visual like me and the rest of the NJ members. Don't ask me how but I guess that edelbrock triangle air cleaner looked stock, , nice guys at the DMV.

Visual too!

Yes visual too! You should have seen me standing outside the garage...... I was nervous as hell!
I guess the new EGR worked.
I still get the SES light flashing on and off...
lol I was so worried about the idle: it was idling at 1041.... but here emmissions for it were 785 +/- 450 (something like that)
It's also a good thing I had the fan rigged to run. I put a toggle switch on right above the radio. The lead runs to the lead to the fan, so when you turn off the ignition, the fan shuts off too. I usually flip it on when I am in traffic in town. Works like a champ.
It was essentially a free mod. A toggle, wire, and a crimp tool do wonders!
That's probably what's making my SES light go, I am not sure. Everything's running great!
I still want to try the other chip, however. It might do wonders for the car.
I was hoping to heavens it would pass or I would end up paying for a diagnostic I can't afford.
At least emmissions is out of the way for another year.
I guess it was the hood that allowed me to pass, even though it's not functional? It will be. Another thing on my "to do" list.
