Cold Air Intake
Hey guys i just have a quick question for ya. I hear all the talk about cold air intake through the dual snorkels. I may be wrong here, but i thought that the TBI cars come with a heated intake manifold, and cold air intake would not work unless you changed the stock 195* t-stat to something like 160* t-stat, in order to help lower the temperature of the intake manifold. If the intake manifold is heated, then you really dont have cold air induction anymore do you?? thanks for helping me out on this one.

The air will still be colder after the manifold, than air that would come through an open element. It would be heated so you want the coldest air you could get(you don't want to start out warm).
Think of this, cold air is more dense, you'll get more molecules down that throttle body with colder air, even if it does heat up while in the manifold.
