Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could help me find a set of aftermarket runners and TB for my 89 RS. It looks just like this:

All my buddies at school keep on telling me that I need to put a set of runners and a bigger TB on it to make it go faster.

Can you tell me where to find them?

Oh yeah, and Im planning on putting a roll bar in my car soon too and was wondering where I could find a good kit and possibly where to find a rollbar mount fire extinguisher for it.

 

kenny brown has a cage but it seems more for chassis stiffening than for rollover saftey. www.kennybrown.com
Bigger TBI and runners sounds like TPI talk. You can put on a new intake manifold and bigger TBI if you like but there are other things that you can do first. Like headers, cat, and catback or a cam

 

I dont thikn the Kenny Brown cage would work. I plan on running 8's with my 305 TBI this summer.

 

Please tell me you arent talking about 1/4 mile times??? Im not flaming you but if you are getting 8's in the 1/4 i will marry you..

The runners sound like TPI talk. Unless theres parts of my engine I don't know about. Wow, thats gonna suck if there is.

 

I don't know about 8's but 9's are possible....
you just need a 3 stage N2o system pumping gobs of fuel and running like 8 degrees advanced MAX with LOTS of traction .
As for the rollcage, Jegs has a kit and so does Spohn (sponsor of thirdgen). As them where you can get a fireex mount or just use one that was ment for a jeep wrangler!

 

I think he's talking about a good cold air tube. What other tubes would he be talking about? And as far as running 8's, he must mean 0-60. No really I think he was refuring to 1/8mi which is possible but he'll need more than a few bolt ons to get there.
