I just found out that my car was originally a v6
What is different on the 3.1(besides the engine )
than the 5.0tbi?

 

rear end gear ratio and computer i think.

 

the computer would have had to be swapped too. the only big diff in hte car will be the rear gear(mostr likely 3.42's) the front springs were a lower weight(lower in/lbs rating) and teh sway bars were teh smallest gm offered.
the motor mounts, radiator and every thing else is the same though. gm kept all teh chassis stuff teh same and jsut changed a few bolt on items to make the V6 or V8 work.

no posi
open diff, just slap in an SLP take-off posi unit, it's under $100 and if you've got a v8...you really need it.
