I've found another black 1991 RS with a 305 and a 5 speed. It has very minor fender damage on the front passenger side and the lock area of the passenger side door has damage from an attempted break in. It does have an exhaust leak on the drivers side. It idles smoothly, drives well, and other than the mentioned areas is cosmetically sound. He has accepted my offer of $1500 and I will pick it up Monday morning. What do you guys think? Good deal? Let me know. Most everyone on this board has a wealth of knowledge and now I need your opinions. Thanks.

i looked at an RS the other day. a woman i work with owns it. 91 hard top, white w/ red interior, LO3, Auto, maunual windows/locks/hatch, a/c, and no cruise control. only 87,000miles on it and she owned it since new, the car has every document since it was picked up from teh dealership. the only probl;em is that it is such a gem that i can't afford what it is worth just to turn it into a race car if anyone is interested i can put you in touch with her.
i may be adding a 2nd gen to my collection very soon though

And it has 144,000+ miles. My daily driven 91 Black RS has 162,000+.

 

HEY TimRS, what part of MCdonough are you in? I have 2 RS's also, see my sig. My 90 is sitting right at 186k now, and it's still my daily driver, 32 miles each way to work.

 

Jagone, I'm around the Lake Dow area. I picked up the 5-speed RS this morning. Got it home and now going through and giving it a thorough clean up. I drive my automatic RS about 30 miles each way to work also. Bought it brad new though. What part of the Grove are you in?

 

Tim, I'm down at the end of New Hope rd. Have you done any mods to your daily driver? What you got planned for the "new" car? Iff you are thinking exhaust, I highly recommend the hooker, It's sounds awesome outside and since the pipes go straight out the back, there is no resonance inside.

 

All that I've done so far is an ADS Super chip, Flowmaster, K&N Filter, and a 160 degree thermostat. As far as the "new car", my goal is 250-300 HP, SS hood, fresh black paint on a straight body, refreshed interior, updated supsension, and after market wheels. I'm not to sure on all the specifics yet. It's will always be a work in progress.
