Need help right now!!!!!!!!!!!! Please!!

Hey guys, heres the story..........

Got my car out of storage and it started and ran fine. Put it in gear and under any kind of load it ran like sh*t, in fact had to tow it home with the truck. Got it to the b/s it sat there for a couple of days, guys got to it ran fine all day long, they took it for drives and nothing wrong. Dad got it back for me and drove it for two days, everything was fine, took it up to the car wash, when he was leaving it started to act up again. I got into it two days later everything was fine for two weeks, until today, it got all crappy again.

What it is doing is bucking and hiccuping, spitting and popping, just wont go under load. Runs and revs fine out of gear. Got underneath and pulled on the throttle cable by hand and it would pop white smoke out the top of the TB.

It's so bad I can't even get it to go down the road. Now, it did rain all day yesterday and it was the first time it rained since I had it out, and coincidentally it was the first time its done it since I've had it out.

What do you guys think it is??? Is water getting into something? Do I have problems somehwere in my fuel injection? Please, need help!!!! Body shop can't figure it out, what do you guys think??????????

Sounds like it could be a blown head gasket. Is your radiator water level low or need topping off? Do you hear any water gurgling from the firewall area? I had another car that had a blown head gasket that ran fine for months until one day it started bucking and overheating from lack of water in the radiator. After I filled the radiator with water it ran fine. I immediately drove the car to my mechanic and they found out the head gasket had a slight rip in it and water was leaking into the cylinder and burning with the fuel.

Its not getting any hotter than usual, and my levels seem to be ok. I've had a couple of people tell me that it could be just simple tune up issues, like a crack in the distributor cap, or some moisture in a plug wire. I'll have to look at that again. I checked the cap for moisture before, but it was probably after the mousture had a chance to dry out, so I didn't see anything. I'll have to pull a plug wire off the top of the cap too to see if its building any white fuzzy stuff on the contacts. What else do you guys think? Anyone have this experience before?

It could be the ignition module, mine acted up when It got wet before I changed it.

I'd try a tune up.
Everything, like fuel filter, plugs, cap, rotor, wires, oils, pcv, etc.

If you pull the plug wires, try a little dielectric grease to help seal out water. It may not be the problem, but it'll be one less thing to consider. That's why I recommend a tune-up. There's less little things to consider when trouble shooting. I'd feel pretty dumb if I pulled apart my engine looking for problems, only to find that I had a clogged fuel filter.
Try pulling a plug to make sure you have no fuel delivery issues.
Will the engine rev to red (smoothly) when its in neutral?

take it to a mechanic....... if it sat for so long then have a tune up done then if it acts up again have them check to see if its a blown head gasket...... blown head gaskets do weird things, my friend blew his yesterday and there was smoke coming from under the car around the tranny.

I'll get the tune-up issues looked at, I already have Moroso wires, new Bosch platiinums, MSD cap, rotor, coil and ignition box sitting at home. It was going on soon anyway, guess it'll have to be sooner than I thought. It does rev smoothly to redline in neutral. Only on a couple of occasions did I have trouble revving it up, like when I first got it out of storage, it would hesitate pretty badly. If you pull on the throttle cable though and rev it much faster than you could with the pedal it will pop and ping, so I dunno.

Definatly sounds spark related. Replace the cap, rotor, wires and spark plugs. Do you have the hood weatherstripping still on or did you remove it?

weatherstipping is still on. But I hosed it down and found that water leaks through the cowl right onto the top of the distributor cap!! I think that may be the problem, possibly replace the cap and I might be good. I checked the contacts on the top of the cap and found that all the contacts had white stuff all over them, water could cause that right? I took the cap off sprayed wd 40 in it, wiped it out, put it back together and drove it for 30 min with no problems. But its gonna rain later today, so I'll have a problem again. Gonna pick up the ignition parts on Thurday, hope to have it done by Friday.
