New exhaust, now what?

Car - 1992 RS 305 TBI A/T

Status - I've just completed putting my SLP 1-3/4 headers on, I removed the cat. and replaced it with a three inch pipe to match up to my Edelbrack cat-back system. I have a K&N filter in the stock housing.

Problem - The car sounds good and seems to run well. It's not registered at this time and as such, limited to short bursts down the street. It seems a little sluggish off the line and pops when the RPM's are up. Sounds like it's running lean.

Question - How do I increase the fuel? Do I have to modify the ECM or can I change injectors? If so, which injectors do I use? Will the ultimate TBI mods help?

Thanks in advance.

Hmm, well I know for a fact that 1-3/4 primaries are to big for a pretty much stock internal 305 TBI. But since u got them on there then u might as well leave them on. The ultimate TBI mods would help u A LOT. Making or buying ur own AFPR wouldn't hurt neither. Actually I know a guy on here and he has the fastest 305 TBI that I have ever seen (13.10 in the 1/4 mile) and he does all that stuff to throttle body's for I think 40 bucks + shipping. He does all the ulitamte TBI mods, shaves all the restrictive stuff off of it so it flows TONS better, cleans the entire throttle body (I got mine in the mail and I almost jizzed my pance when I saw the difference) and he will add an injector spacer, he did my afpr mod and anything else u want to the tbi. He is really good and its worth the 40 bucks. Give him an e-mail. Camaroracer1992@yahoo.com I am gonna post pictures of my before and after times and what my tb looked like before and after. He did an amazing job. Worth the money thats for sure.

1 3/4" headers were the right way to go if you plan on continuously modding the car. You don't want to get a part, then get another to replace it later. Do the ultimate tbi mods, that way you can adjust your fuel pressure, and get yourself an open element air cleaner, or a dual snorkle intake.

Get yourself an LT1 Camshaft, a dual plane intake with a tbi adapter and a set of free flowing heads.

That's whats next

Thanks guys, I'll look into the TBI Mods. I do have a 350 to go in the car. Looking for the right heads to match the cam. Hence the 1-3/4 pipes. I have a plan (and budget) and the exhaust was the logical place to start.
