Anyone using one of the aircleaner lids that are a filter?

So, how much room is there under the stock hood? I only ask because I can't get mine open right now. I'm thinking based on what I'm reading that the stock air cleaner housing has a drop base, no? No other questions for now.

The lid is the same size as a regular lid. I am using this with a 14x3" filter, with a cowl scoop for fresh air on my car. Works quite well. It's not necessary, but I think it looks nice.

yes, the stock housing uses a drop base to work with the spacer (???). You will be able to find much more info under the Tech Articles on Ultimate TBI and what not.
