My care has some major cooling issue's!
Well I am not sure if it is a blown head gasket(that is my dad's diagnosis)I am not sure though.
What is happening it is it overheating and pressuriving the cooling system.I just flushed the system and well it was full of some old rusty water. And I can't seem to get all that out of there.I refilled it with just regular water. And after driving it down my road it is still pressurized.I burnt my hand pretty good trying to get the radiator cap off.
I don't know if it is the water pump, head gasket, cracked head, thermostat whatever it is.I need to get it fixed.
Any idea's?

Well start by checking the obvious to see if you've damaged something. Any coolant burning? Does the coolant level drop after a few days? Does air bubble up out of the radiator when you have the cap off? Any oil in coolant/coolant in oil?
If not, I'd say you're probably safe with flushing the cooling system, replacing the thermostat, and adding some water wetter or a similar product. You can replace the lower radiator hose and remove the water pump to inspect it if you suspect it is failing.
If you overheat on the freeway, check for a blocked radiator or absence of a little plastic flap under your radiator that directs air onto it from underneath the car. If you overheat in traffic, check that your fans work and come on. How hot is it getting? What exactly happens? Don't ever remove a hot radiator cap!

Well I just got the car yesterday. And I haven't drove it on the highway yet.(probably never will)
It is getting hot very very fast.My raod is an 1/8 mile long and when I drive down and back it is already very hot.(The temp gauge is broken)But The cooling system is very pressurized.
I am just going to have to wait to put a new water pump and thermostat.I don't think my fan is working.I never checked really. The guy I bought this car from screwed it over pretty good. There is broken wires every where. And all kinds of things.I plan on removing all the electrical crap and computer and install an older 350 with a th350 tranny.I am not going to be driving this car on the street.Track only.

Did you fill the coolant properly?
I top up the rad, let the car run for a few minutes until the thermostat opens & the coolant level drops, then i re-fill it right away & cap it.
Works for me.

Well the water pump is a big p.o.s.It looks like this engine came out of like a 1960 chevy pickup that had been sitting in a river for a while. The water pump is nothing but rust and sludge on the inside.
I pulled it off today and I am going to have the heads checked out and put new head gaskets, intake, thermostat, carb,Older distrubitor where I don't have this computer crap,New water pump and altenator.I am really probably going to end up rebuild the engine why it is apart to.I just need to talk to my pops first.
