So I start my car today (pic)

And a notice a bit of coolent under the car, after I start it, a very small bit. Never leaked a bit of coolant before.


So I look and see this, any idea where its coming from?

Is that the thermostat housing I see right there? That would be my first guess where it was coming from.

Looks fairly obvious to me. Thermostat housing is leaking. Just replace the gasket, unless it is cracked. In that case replace the housing or seal it, and don't overtighten it.

Definately therm. housing. Pretty common happened to me. They make a chrome housing with an o-ring that doesn't leak. It cost about 20 bucks. I bought it from Summit.

You might as well flush your coolant and replace the upper and lower hoses and the thermostat while you're at it. I think you said that you don't drive it much, so this may be a good idea.

Yep, thermostat, they're cheap and so are hoses so it wouldn't hurt to replace them.

It looked like it was that to me, but I didnt think it would actually be that simple

Just wanted to get the pro's opinions


Rezinn, Im gonna do that next week when it's warm


I did say before I don't drive it much, but since its been stored since october, I really missed driving it. Defenetly think im gonna drive it way more.
