when i pull my seat belt to put it on, it locks, like it does when it gets pulled hard. like its supposed to, except it does it when barley pulling it, no matter how gently, it tries to lock up, only the lower section. so i have to play with it for a couple minutes to get it out enought to buckle myself. my question is, don't seatbelts have lifetime warrenties from the dealership, if so can i just bring in the old one and get a new one? or do they have to do the work? would i have to pay for any labor??

 

Check with your Chevy service manager for a recall on your car.
My '83 Z28 had a recall on it, and I think it was for seat belts.

 

ya, but the recall was because of a diff part of the seatbelt, some plastic piece..

ummm, doesn't this belong in the body/interior forum? Tech/General gets soo much crap, things get burried in a few hours. Hard to find your own posts sometimes.
