ok ive got a big problem... ive got no spark. I've already replaced the main coil and the ignition module... no dice.
what sux even more is im up at school working on my car in the parking lot lol. My dad sez it might be the pulse coil... but i wanna know for sure before i go buying anymore parts... if you guys have any ideas id appreciate it! THANKS
BTW its an 89 with 305 TPI and a 5 speed

I've been stranded at school a couple times too, thanks to Kragen starters and batteries. What happens when you crank the engine over? I realize you say that you don't have spark, so you're past the initial "it won't start" troubleshooting, but does it just crank and crank, and you've checked for fuel? Have you removed any plugs to see if they are fouled? How did you confirm no spark?
i confirmed no spark by just pulling the #8 plug and having a friend turn over the car while i grounded it against both the exhaust manifold and then the valve cover. i know its getting fuel cuz the plug was soaked with fuel when i pulled it. This really sucks, the thing just cranks and cranks and wont even sputter or anything... tommorrow when it stops raining im gonna test the pickup coil with the Ohm meter to see if thats the culprit... hopefully it is and i can return the 150 dollars worth of ignition parts ive put in my car so far lol. thanks for the help!

"The pickup coil should read between 500-1,500 ohms between the leads, and infinite resistance to ground from either lead."
Thank Vader for that info. Always watch out for impedence, it can easily check out good one day and another it not, this happened to me twice.
