Emergency Brake Malfunctioning

Hi guys,

Well here my problem, Over the last 7 years i've been looking for an answer to fixing the e-brake. I have 4 disk brake, and everything is brand new Baer stuff from last years upgrade. Nobody can tell me why the e-brake does'nt work. I pull it as far back as it goes but it barely holds the car at idle!

I been told my engine is 2 powerful, my linking is well adjusted the brake are 2 new????

I like it to properly function, can someone tell me an answer please?

THX

I don't know if it would be an answer but I had a problem like yours.

Where your emergency brake lines come together, right before that place if you look up there are two little notch things. You have to force your emergency brake lines into the slot which will give you more pull on your emergency brake making it work.

It was my problem and I got under there and saw the two slots. I forced my emergency brake lines up there on both sides and the emergency brake works fine.

If that is not your problem than I do not know.

So you've got a complete Baer brake system? Seems like you should be asking them ... if I spent that much for a system from them, you could be damn sure they'd be helping me!

No that not the problem, The brakes works amazingly welll with the brake pedal. And Baer can't help cuz their system works, and the fact that i only ordered the parts and had them installed at my garage.

My garage guy told me that the e-brake cable is at the max of its limit, the last notch. Call me a wild pig here, but if thats true, could it possibly be that the cable is just too long? Thus too loose not enough tension?

I've pretty much given up on my 89 's ebrake (car is stick too). When i get new calipers, I'm hoping it will come with the e-brake lever assembly too. After I install a new cable set, I'm sure it will fix it.
Vader tried walking me though some diagnostics but I could never get anywhere. POS
