Ram Air system

Hey

I am thinking about making a ram air system for my car. I am just wondering if it will wreak something because of the dirty air. I know that the air filters clean the air but its pretty dirty air so wouldnt my filters get dirty fast. And what is going to happen when it rains or somthing. That will mess somthing for sure.

What kinda results will I get from my ram air system...Anyone that has done the homemade ram air tell me ur results and how it worked out for u.

Thanks

Hmm. If the filter(s) get dirty, clean/change them. Easy.

Don't drive in heavy rain. Or: don't do the ram-air mod if you drive in heavy rain a lot. A little water won't hurt, but if enough water is getting through the filter(s) in the first place, you're probably in a worse place than you should be. If the pickup/scoop/whatever is low on the car, make sure it doesn't get totally submerged unless you have a bypass of some sort. If the pickup is higher on the car and you get into water deep enough to submerge the pickup, etc. , I'd say you have a little more damage in store than just hydraulic locking the motor.

It doesnt rain very often here. I was just wondering what would happen if some water got up into that ram air system. Is it even worth doing, will I pick up any HP or anything like that.

Thanks

You won't notice it off the line, but in the 1/4 it will help you some.
