Stock fuel pump dying

Well i think the stock fuel pump is finally dying. It is the original tpi pump with a presure regulator for my carb setup. I have a holley in line pump that i will be using. I plan on removing the old pump from the tank but i need to know what to replace it with. What should I use for a pickup. Can I get a carb pickup from the dealership? What have you guys done? Thanks

Put a piece of fuel line where the factory pump was.

Or, go to a junkyard and get a pickup from a factory carbed car (except '87 - they had in-tank electric as well).
