What Fuel Pressure Should I Be Running??

i am still using the stock pump in my 88 formula with a mallory prt#4309 regulator.. what pressure should i have it set at?? i have a holley SA 770 on my 406 thanks for the help!! someone told me like 7-8 psi but that sounds high to me is it?? thanks

My 406 with a Holley 750 runs at 7psi with a new edelbrock high performance mechanical fuel pump. I still have the stock heads though so its probably not as powerful as yours so i guess 7-8psi sounds good.

One more thing, that same edelbrock fuel pump is suppossed to be good up to 550hp at 6-7 psi, so you might not need all that pressure, i guess it depends on the pump that you have. Some pumps will flow more at lower psi then other pumps at higher psi from what i was reading through jegs and summit racing catalogs.
