Holley Street Dominator

Does anybody know if the Holley Street Dominator intake manifold with a 600cfm Holley Carb will fit under the hood of our cars? I have an 82 Z-28 with the LU5 CFI "composite fiber-glass" hood. They claim that it is 1.25" taller than stock. I was also thinking about the Weiand Stealth. Which on would be better for my LU5 305cid. I will also add an new cam such as the comp Dual energy DEH255. I might also add a 2000 stall converter later. Any other suggestions?

Thanks
Leigh

i ran a holley street dominator on my 80, it is a quite tall manifold, the only high rise dual plane manifold that i know of, that is a maybe for fitting, but the stealth is way lower, i dont see why would have a problem with it

It won't if you want to run an air cleaner. I had one on my 82 bird and with a 1 1/4 drop base air cleaner and a 3 in element It stuck through the hood almost an inch. It might fit with a 1.5 in air cleaner, but I don't think an engine would breath well through it.

I dont think it will clear a stock hood. I have a dominator manifold on my T/A, but a cowl induction hood. I can see the top of the aircleaner through the slot (I need a bigger element, soon it will again be through the hood) and its a 2.5" elemtn or so. I doubt it will clear the stock hood, and used it as an excuse to get the cowl induction without being "fake".
