how is it goin everyone? ok, this started since i got my 4" cowl, so i think the prob is that my new cap and rotor got wet. sometimes, when i start my car, my RPMs will go to +-500. i can smell fuel, so i am missing, and some smoke comes out of my exhaust. after i rev it up to a grand or so for a couple seconds, it is fine. any guesses?

 

Not sure Matt...always a good idea to let us know what type of engine, mods, induction, etc...you have in it...don't want someone telling you to replace the secondary metering rods...if it's EFI

 

Your fuel injectors may need cleaning .

 

im wanting to get a 4inch cowl this summer (hehe) i was wondering if stuff like that could happen with the cowl. im guessing its alright since alot of people use them on the street

 

its a 305 TBI, 160 stat, manual fan switch, k&n, ram air off a TPI car, lots of exhaust work(though that probably wouldnt matter), MSD coil, accell cap and rotor, and i just put on a new fuel filter and changed out half the plugs (didnt have time to do the rest)
