Will it come spewing out at me if I don't? I need to change my oil anyway so should I drain, change the switch, then put the new oil?

Not necessary, the pressure switch is above the sump level. A little may flow out but no big deal.

Yup go ahead and change it, no oil will spill out in big amounts.
