AC evaporator taken out. What next??
I took all that mess out today. I can actually see the header bolt in the very back....and TOUCH it as easy as I can the radiator cap.
Here's a picture of the rectangular hole left in the firewall. Will my heater still blow warm air if I cover this hole? Or does the hole need to be connected to the blower somehow? If so, what can I use? And can I safely cut all the wires that went to the evap housing, relay and accumulator?

You need to retrieve a cover from a non a/c car. These usually (that I find anyway) are from the 82-84 years and are made of steel. You can then mount the blower motor resistor pack (Where did you put that...) in the older style cover by shaping the square to a triengular shape....
I have two but I need them.... I always grab them from the j-yard if I run into them, but they seem to be getting 'rare' here....
If you dont have the cover, you don't have a blower motor, heat will be very minimal in winter, and maybe too hot in the summer.

Damn I'm glad you mentioned the resistor pack. I had it in the trashcan with the housing. Where did you get your (sheet metal?)
from? I think I'll fix one of those. Thanks Joel.
