Why heater only blows at Full Blast??
OK, I figure I accidently pulled a wire off somehwere when trying to clear some clutter, but my fan only works on the lowest setting and the highest, anyone know how to fix it?
Hey Mark,
Couple of ideas. First, where were you "clearing clutter"?? Under the dash? Against the firewall under the hood? That would help narrow it down...
If under the dash, I would check the wiring from the fan speed switch (thru the firewall) and to the fan speed resistor.
If under the hood, ON the heater, A/C box should be the fan speed resistor. It kinda looks like a rounded-off diamond shaped piece with a connector sitting on top of it. Sometimes the wires break inside or the connector wiring has come loose.
Either way, there's only 4 wires (I think!) GND, Hi, Med, Lo.
Hth!

Thanks for the help, it was by the firewall. I'll check later and see what I come up with. I still need to fix an exhaust leak and some squeaky brakes.
