Crane 1.6 "blazer" roller rockers

Has anybody here installed crane 1.6 roller rockers and noticed a shift in valve train geometry for the worse?

I recently built up an engine and added the 1.6's and immediately noticed how close they were to the exhaust side of the valve stem. After trying to find my problem it appears it was the rockers themselves. IT appears that the crane blazer roller rocker have a longer valve side of the rocker instead of a shorter pushrod side?

I put the same rollers on a 305 i had sitting around to see what happened, again the roller tip was way out on the edge of the valve.

So who else runs cranes? Both successfull and unsuccessfull installs notes appreciated.
Thanks

Good thing you brought this up I was going to order a set of 1.6's now I dont know.Do you have a adjustable pushrod to see how much they are off?

Yes I do.

they might be energizer rockers.

I'd always suggest comp way before crane, but these were cheap, now I know why.

cranes machining tollerances are +/- .010

I've either got ford roller rockers (+.050 over sbc) or they decided to extend my valve side instead of decreasing the pushrod side of these rockers.

I'm going to take some measurements from the center of the fulcrum to teh center of the roller tip to see where mine land within cranes specs.

Either way, I'd recommend comp/harland/anybody but crane

You need a different length pushrod. I would consider that far from unusual, especially for changing the rocker ratio.
