LT1 INTAKE and NO EGR?!
LT1 INTAKE and NO EGR?!
I am doing a modified LT1 intake for my older 88 camaro engine. IN doing this the EGR is blocked off because there is no room for it over where the distributer will be. IS there any damn way not to get rid of this because I want to keep my car passing emissions tests so there is a resale value. I was thinking of a remote EGR valve.??? WOuldn't that be possible with a quick adapter for the egr end (like a thermo housing) and some tapping for AN fittings on the intake? Or does the EGR have to sit right oin the intake itself? If there is a way to delete the EGR valve and still have the car pass all it;s emissions checks then please fuill me in on Emissions test cheats for our cars. I need some inside dirt:hail: :hail: :hail: Thanks guys*!

It depends on the local emissions laws in your area. You can pass a sniffer without an EGR valve but if they have an under-hood visual then no way. You could probably *carefully* tap into the EGR passages going to the back of the manifold but all the hassle after that is probably more trouble than its worth. I was seriously leaning towards one of millican's LT1 intakes but e-check concerns quickly shot that idea down.
