Need answer quick!! Possible BLOWN motor
This morning I went out and started my car, Alternator belt squeeled like crazy, and there was a knocking, well I got the belt to stop squeeling so I could hear the knocking and no have to hold me ears.
the knocking sounds like it is coming from under the car in the tranny/engine area, I'v never heard of a tranny knocking soo...... its my engine. It had no signs leading up to it, I just drove it down to Wildwood Nj and back this weekend and it was fine, I did kinda beat it down there, but its been fine all the way home and last night.
Is my engine blown?

The belt squeal is suspecious.
Remove all the belts and start it up. This will isolate all the accessories. Don't run it for more than a couple of mins without the water pump turning.
I've heard of water pumps knocking pretty loud.
If it still knocks without the belts installed, re-install the belts and start pulling spark plug wires one at a time to see if a rod bearing is knocking.
The safest way is to pull the spark plug wire off (eng off) the plug, insert an old spark plug into the wire and lay it on the intake manifold (assuming you have no fuel leaks). This will give the high voltage somewhere to go. Just pulling the wire off can cause the spark to find another path to ground and possibly damage something.
