stock 305 compression

hey yous guys,

i was wondering if anybody could tell me the stock size of the combustion chamber on a 1985 camaro z-28 with tpi.

i am considering putting on some 60cc heads that i have on an old 283 in the garage, they are from the 60s. and how much would this change the compression ratio, I want to raise it not lower it.

thanks
ace

Don't bother, the 283 heads valve seats are no good on unleaded gas and I don't think they flow any better than the 305's if you have the 1.84/1.50. ..... As for as I know 305 chambers are 58-60 cc , difference in compression was flat top or dished pistons.

They're 58cc chambers in 85.

Dont bother with the 283 heads. 60s technology can stay far away from your engine.
