forgot ring orientation

forgot ring orientation

ok guys heres my problem, i am building up a 350 right now and the other nigth i poped in the the first 4 pistons and i totally forgot about ring orientation or spacing of the gaps. now i will do it for the last 4 but do u think i should take the first 4 out and check them?? or do u think i will be alright? the rings will end up spinning anyway right? thanks guys

You definitely need to check the end gaps at least.

well guys i just pulled out the 4 pistons i had in and did it right. good thing cause they were lined up perfect on 2 of them so that could of been bad. well i did them and put the othr 4 pistions in and put a head on so i think i will do my other head tomorrow and maybe my cam. man buildin this thing is so fun

I just put mine together about a month ago and we put the cam in before the crank and pistons. It was a lot easier to guide it in.

yea i was gonan do that but i didn;t have my cam yet so i get to do it the fun way. oh well at least its on a stand indoors and not in my car outside lol
