Fan Relay Connector
I have a 87 Camaro. The fan relay switch has been a problem. I have posted on this before. The problem i know have is the 12ga. red wire that runs to my fan relay located onthe firewall is burnt threw. The wire is broke write at the connector that plugs in to my relay. There is no wire to splice into. Is there a tool to unterminate the pin from the connector? Is there a replacement connector to plug into the relay? If so I would appreciate the partnumbers. My engine is a LG4. Wires going to connector are red ,green ,brown and white ,and a red and black wire. Please help
dude.
On my 87 iroc, all the relays had wires that were pulling out. they dont burn thru, the insulation pulls out of the little metal piece in the plug. I took a very small straight blade screwdriver, and slid it into the plug, on the side with the small groove under it, you will see the groove if you look close. anyway, i pushed the screwdriver in and when it got in about 1/2 in, turned it and it let the metal conector release from the plug. i cut 1 off(long enough i could splice if necessary), and took it to the chevy dealer. he had a big bin, with alot of different styles in it, and he let me pick the ones i needed. I replaced all of mine at the same time(every relay), as I didnt want to get into it again. Radio shack sells a nice crimp tool that will make the same "w" shaped crimp that the factory has. was time consuming, but i dont have to worry. Just be VERY careful to get the wires back into the same slots of the plug. I took VERY detailed notes. hope this helps.

Finally got the terminal out of the connector. I will need to put a new terminal on the wire to plug back into relay connector. Anyone have a idea where these terminals can be aquired?

Fan Problem Resolved
I was able to fix the connector that goes to my fan relay. I went to the salvage yard ,and pulled one from another camaro. Spliced it into my car with a fuseable link ,and the fan now works as it should. Thanks Guys
