How can you tell if you have a plugged cat?

Lift up his/her tail, get a rubber glove, and go to town.

Seriously, if you cat is clogged, youll notice a big power loss, and in some cases will glow "red hot". You might also smell some strage smells.

Coolant problem. check to see that your fans are coming on, and that your thermostat isnt stuck.

allready done! 160 fail safe & both hoses are hot. Also, i set both fans via the chip to come on at aprox 87deg C.

Even though you chip turns the fans on at a cartain temp, it doesent mean they are acually coming on. One could be blown out, or you could have a bad relay. Also, you might wanna try changing to a 180* thermostat.

No, both fans are running. I can smell sort of a tin type smell when it gets hot too? I think it may be clogged cats but not sure how to check?

The cat might glow and you'll overheat most likely. And a loss in power like said.
