1987 L69 head airflow capability

I'm trying to model what these heads will do for my 305 using Dyno2000. Does anyone happen to know what an L69 head would flow in terms of cfm, or have a airflow file for dyno that they could point me to?

Thanks in advance

I'm not very picky about it, I'm just looking for some numbers to feed into the computer to try and get a rough idea what i'll be doing.

Stock L69 heads 1.84 intakes, 1.5 exhausts, 58cc chambers

I'm going to bump this up to the top.

Again, thanks in advance for any information.

Get us a casting number for those heads and you can likely find some flow data.

Ok well are they 416's? (perimeter) or 081's (centerbolt)? Most L69's had 416's because there were no centerbolt L69's.

I'll check into the casting numbers tomorrow.

I just got in from helping a friend get his 82 s-10 running.

"081" castings flow 182 @.400 and 195 @.500" in and
107@.400 and .110@.500" ex

"416" castings will be real close to this.
That would be "low performance stock ports and valves" on desk top dyno.

"Stock ports and valves" refers to the flow of a stock 60's
camelback head and will over model the late smog heads.

I fully ported and polished a set of "416" castings with upgraded
1.94x 1.60 valves. Flow bench figures were 225@.450 in.
and 140@.450 exh @28". Should give you an idea
of the potential of a "home ported" 305 head.

Your results have quantified what I have been saying for quite some time. Factory heads can be made to flow with even moderate port work. If you want to weld up and get really serious, you can surpass most aftermarket heads easily.
