this may be a stupid qustion but does not having a knock sensor on your car make a difference? what does it do if you dont have one? is it good or bad? just asking b/c i dont have one, and i have a few little problems with my car, and thinking they may be related to the knock sensor. Thanks

 

yeah it's bad not having one, why you think gm put one on your car, to raise the cost? if it's disabled the est can't adjust the timing when you have knock.
