LT1 topend on an older block? Is this possible?

I was thinking of swapping the LT1 heads and intake I have on an older bottom end..

Is htis possible or are there problems with the reverse cooling?

Thanks!

Thanks, I have that link. I know I can swap the intake onto the older block, but the main thing I was wondering is if I could swap the heads over also.

Don't LT1's have distributorless ignition systems? So in that case... what do you do for ignition?

Ignition doesn't matter. John Millican has figured that one out. I don't think LT1 heads will work on an old style block, otherwise you'd see them in people's signatures.

LT1 heads CAN fit on a standard SBC. RCR was kind enough to scan the write up from a car mag. I copied them to my website.

They will physically bolt on, but you see that it takes extensive modifications that most of us could not do ourselves for them to work
