How do I check my codes?

My Service Engine Soon light keeps coming on im my 1992 RS (l03) and I don't know how to check the codes, what do I do?

Is there an Autozone near-by, cause they'll find out for you for free. I think it's free, but you probably have to have something else done, not too sure, I heard it on the radio.
