large radii journals

Does anyone know if a sbc crankshaft with .125 radii journals needs the more expensive chamfered bearings? What is considered large enough to need those bearings?

Anything that causes binding between rods when the rod cap bolts are snugged. I never measured, so I'm not sure what radius is the magic number. You can probably check it easily with your old shells.
